| There are a number
of issues with the Mandatory Vehicle Branding Program that are either being misaddressed or not addressed at all. All vehicles that are written off must be further evaluated to establish whether or not they meet the threshold of “Total Loss”. Not all vehicles that are Total
Loss are required to have a brand attached to The brand affixed is determined
by the extent and the location of the Not every vehicle that has a brand affixed was branded correctly. Where a registered owner believes that an improper brand was affixed, the owner can launch an appeal to the MTO if it is initiated within the prescribed limitations. The appeal must be
carried out in accordance with all of the rules that are set out. Failure to meet the requirements is cause for an appeal to be denied. There is no second chance to try again. |
